Our Vision

Sign Big realizes that its efforts have to be about the people – Hoosier taxpayers. In order to gain any momentum it must first get Hoosiers engaged, informed and then mobilized. Sign Big is a grassroots organization that will offer a voice to everyday people who want to hold elected officials accountable for how they spend Hoosier tax dollars. Sign Big’s grassroots effort will encompass the entire Hoosier state and encourage taxpayers everywhere to get involved.

Our Beginning

Through the years, Hoosiers have been handed numerous burdens in the form of taxes by our elected officials. Perhaps it’s the fact that these taxes are becoming so intrusive, or perhaps it’s the fact that higher taxes, especially in the midst of a bad economy, are just poor economic policy. Whatever the reasoning is, it’s apparent Hoosiers have grown frustrated with out-of-touch politicians not doing the jobs they were elected to do: represent the people.

For that reason, a group of Hoosiers began a series of roundtable discussions with various advocates for taxpayer causes. Through these discussions, it became clear that a voice concerning taxpayer issues needed to be developed. Sign Big is an organization with a three-dimensional focus on Indiana policy. Indiana needs an organization capable of engaging, informing, and mobilizing Hoosiers. In addition, Sign Big will take taxpayer issues to elected officials at the State House, and work to bring new leadership to our Capitol when our current officials have chosen to ignore the voice of Hoosier taxpayers.

Now the groundwork has been laid, Sign Big is prepared to tackle the task at-hand: reform our state’s tax system.
